Positioning our clients as the experts, the 'go-to-guys' in the press and at events
We love PR at Push Start. There is nothing we love more than seeing our clients in the press or getting them speaking opportunities. We're proud of the proven results we've acheived for companies in the Oxfordshire area and beyond.
Public Relations is about reputation, influenced by the way organisations, companies and individuals communicate with the public and media. Not only is it about featuring your brand in publications and distributing press releases, newsletters and making public appearances, but it also boils down to how you promote your brand across your website.
We strongly believe that PR is all about growing your brand and with the right kind of PR and marketing opportunity you will be seen in the right places by the people that you most want to target.
How we work with you
We like to secure the highest level of quality media exposure, because we believe quality versus quantity will maximise brand exposure and drive business growth.
1. We put together our ideas with the aim of producing great results. When we work with a client we become a team, we look for different angles on each news story and product we are looking to promote and articles we want to pitch
2. We start by brain-storming the next quarter’s worth of marketing activities and what PR we can receive off the back of these activities. A realistic list is drawn up and actioned, after each month we issue a full PR activity report
3. Our understanding of the media enables us to identify story ideas, events and campaigns which work, and our delivery of information to journalists in the way they want again increases our chances of success.
Our personal and creative approach ensures we not only deliver rewarding results, but we work as an in-house resource rather than a large PR and marketing agency.
We will target key media consumed by our target demographic including broadcast, print and online and will include national, regional, lifestyle and niche titles along with important and influential bloggers.
This will include, but not be limited to, the following publications:
Local and National newspapers and their online versions, with emphasis on broadsheets and mid- market tabloids
Newspaper supplements used to “promote the story behind the brand”, e.g. FT How To Spend It
Key regional newspapers, particularly those in target regions e.g. Metro, Oxford Times (Limited Edition Magazine)
Lifestyle magazines including Country Living, Woman and Home, Esquire, Red etc...
Local BBC Radio
Clients receive monthly reports on activities, progress and plans for the following month, so you will know exactly who we have been speaking to, what about and the expected results.
Strong relationships with the local, Oxfordshire press
Over the years we have worked with many local businesses looking to raise their profile through the local press; property clients, estate agents, letting agents, mortgage advisers, structural engineers, conveyencing solicitors... the list goes on.
Our approach is always to try and secure regular opportunities for clients, which resulted in almost weekly columns for our gardening clients, a rotation of property clients in The Oxford Times property section and regular features for our kitchen designer in Limited Edition.
National, consumer and specialist press
What our clients think
I am glad to say you've delivered... One article alone has delivered more than £9500 of new business.
I put this down to your ability to understand our business combined with excellent press contacts and knowledge of what editors want.
Push Start's always able to balance what we need to say with what editors want to publish. Through Push Start's PR efforts we now appear regularly in our key press and this has opened doors to significant commercial opportunities.

Testimonial is on its way!
“I have worked with Samantha and Push Start Marketing for a couple of years, what I have been most impressed with is the wide range of ideas that she has come up with to raise the profile of Dom Reilly. Our budget for PR spend has been very small but I believe that we have gained such value from Sam’s hard work and creative thinking as well as her huge network of contacts
